Educating Nursing Professionals
Leah Montoya, MSN RN CNOR
I had an unwavering calling throughout my childhood and always knew that I would become a nurse. It has been almost 20 years and I am still passionate about my roles in the profession of nursing. Dedication to helping others has motivated me to seek numerous opportunities in order to make a difference. Most of my nursing experience has been within the specialty of perioperative nursing and later in healthcare education, each area offers unique satisfaction. I continued my formal education so I could become a nurse-leader for complex organizations and to further my abilities to teach others.
I earned my Masters of Science degree in Nursing, within the specialty of Leadership & Management and graduated with honors. I have taught courses in healthcare education for the past six years.
I take my role as a nurse seriously. It’s not enough to know that the public trusts me. As a nurse leader and educator, it’s imperative that nurses entrust in my abilities to ensure they can practice in a safe environment that reinforces their autonomy and promotes their own expression of their passion for nursing.
